The Church of St. Joseph hosts meetings for the Archdiocesan Mission in Venezuela.

We are working on building an authentic partnership with a corresponding team in Venezuela. There is a team of Venezuelans from Fr. Greg Schaffer’s parish, Jesucristo Resucitado in San Felix, Venezuela who meet in Venezuela and our team from here in the Archdiocese.

Both groups are reading the book, “Called as Partners in Christ’s Service: The Practice of God’s Mission.” The Venezuelans are reading the Spanish version. We then meet and discuss what we have learned about the essence of mission and partnership from the book so that we can build a collaborative model of partnership and mission.

Our hope is that we will eventually be able to meet together for discussion and prayer with the Venezuelan team via video-conferencing. Vamos a ver! We will see!
