Lent 2009
Lent is a time for reflection – a time for prayer, fasting and alms-giving. It is a wonderful time to deeply, patiently “confess our sins, do penance, and amend our lives.”
“Through fasting and praying, we allow Him to come and satisfy the deepest hunger that we experience in the depths of our being: the hunger and thirst for God.” — Pope Benedict XVI, 2009 Lenten Message
