2009 Easter Celebrations
Easter 2009 – Over 1500 parishioners and guests attended one of three Easter celebrations. Over 300 people gathered to begin the celebration of Easter with the Great Vigil on Saturday. Six new members were welcomed into the church that evening. It was a celebration of light, hearing the stories of our faith, experiencing baptism, confirmation and the Eucharist. Alleluias rang out strong and clear from all in attendance and were inspired to greater heights with the support of the All-Parish Choir and St. Croix Brass Ensemble.
On Easter Sunday morning over 1200 people filled the church with enthusiastic Alleluias. Those Easter Alleluias were supported by members of the All-Parish Choir, cantors, Bell Choir and parish instrumentalists. Special thanks go out to Father Jerry, Deacon Francis, the Brothers, Liturgical Ministers, the Art and Environment Team, the nearly 25 people who assisted with decorating the church, the members of the All-Parish Choir, Cantors, Bell Choir, Parish Instrumentalists and guests – under the direction of Jerry Salitros, Worship / Music Director/organist. The combined efforts of everyone truly made for an inspiring, moving and blessed Triduum and Easter! “He is Risen, indeed! Alleluia!
