BeFriender Ministers are parishioners who are trained to respond in the name of our church to the emotional and spiritual needs of our parishioners by bringing a caring, listening presence and a living reminder of God’s love. BeFriender Ministry may include visiting people who are homebound, those who are dying or grieving, and anyone experiencing difficult situations such as mental illness, family abuse and sudden or chronic illness. Some BeFrienders are trained to preside at wake services.
