St. Joseph’s Renovation Project
The Facilities Committee started meeting in February of 2007, charged with the task of assessing the needs of the Buildings on St. Joseph’s Campus, and to recommend a plan for improving them in such a way that the Ministries of St. Joseph’s Parish can continue into the future.
They ask for the prayers of the entire Parish that we will all be guided by God’s Spirit to come up with a workable plan that we can all embrace. We suggest that everyone make the prayer to St. Joseph in the left-hand column a part of their daily prayers. THANK YOU.

Building & Renovation Costs
Last January the Catholic Spirit ran an article about all the parishes that had building or remodeling projects before the Archdiocesan Building Commission (ABC). The scope of projects listed covered quite a range. Divine Mercy: $12.5 million. Mary, Mother of the Church: $3.6 million. Nativity of Our Lord: $15 million. Our Lady […]
Using a Dual Approach
The best way to conduct a church building project is to assess the ministerial needs of the congregation, make building designs that match those needs and then pray that the money will come to pay for that project. Another way is to project how much money you can raise, and then decide […]
Approval by the Archdiocese
St. Joseph Parish cannot spend any money for major renovation projects unless we first get approval from the Archdiocesan Director of Administration and Finance. Their task is to make sure parishes make sound, realistic plans within their financial means. They will take a close look at our “giving history” and operating budget, […]

We want to thank Fr. Jerry Dvorak, the head of our Prayer Committee, for commissioning the writing of the Prayer for the Facilities Committee Renovation Project, and for incorporating that prayer into the Sunday Masses, plus the printing of the Prayer Card for each of us to use at home for […]
